Hey everyone! I feel as though I have been neglectful of my blog, and my internet presence lately, as I have been vacationing and shooting at such a furious pace. I’ve also been working hard on a new website, logo, and overall look for Ericka G. Photography. I can’t wait to share it with you all! Being a small business owner has proven to be no small task. Creating, learning, organizing, developing, and all the other “-ing’s” i’ve been currently pursuing are all the things I wanted to do when I set out on this path. Being fulfilled at work is truly a dream. I definitely do not take it for granted. You know what else is pretty cool? Getting to hang out with really great people, in really fun places, on beautiful sunny afternoons. This brings me to Robert and Laura…
I met Robert and Laura on a trip to the Colorado river about a year ago. They happened to run into my best friend (who is their across-the-street neighbor) just after Robert proposed to Laura under a sky of fireworks (got that?). The next day we all went out on the boat together and had such a great time, talking weddings and future plans. Months later, we met up for dinner to discuss details of their big day (hello..80’s cover band!), and was beyond flattered when they asked if I would shoot their wedding. Um..of course! Meeting up at Cal Poly a couple weeks ago (Robert is an alumni) I got to meet the other part of their family, little Toby. While Robert and Laura changed into their second outfits, Toby and I bonded over our love of shade trees and people watching. Thanks guys for a really great afternoon! enjoy!
