The end of the year has gotten pretty hectic around here so instead of individual blog posts for these shoots I thought I would just give you some highlights! So thankful for my incredible clients, new and old, and I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year! For our family it looks like a nice dinner out then back home for movie-watching and dessert-eating! enjoy.

Whew! Things have been busy around here lately! After mini sessions were over I had lots of clients still wanting full portrait sessions (6 portrait sessions and a wedding in 1 weeks time!). Did I mention I have a one year old? I am definitely not complaining as my awesome clients are the ones responsible for getting me away from the computer and out into beautiful parks, canyons, beaches, you name it. My dear friend Lauren is one of those people and she chose the perfect day to fulfill her boho-esque dreams with the most gorgeous weather. Not only is Lauren a super mom but she also writes the green beauty blog Free Love Beauty. It’s my go-to source for all information on buying non-toxic and organic products. I’m always checking the blog and texting her for new information prior to making new beauty purchases. She’s a great wealth of information. See, Lauren who was first became a licensed esthetician and makeup artist then became a mom to Landon who at 2 years old was diagnosed with OMS  and a stage 1 neuroblastoma. This drove her to become well-versed in things she could do to help not only Landon, but keep her family safe and healthy. Read more of her story here. She’s an inspiration to me and I hope you are also inspired to know more about what’s in the products we all use daily. enjoy!

Finding fall colors in Southern California can be like finding a needle in a haystack. My eyes are always open for that ONE tree that has orange and yellow leaves. Thankfully there are a few locations where the trees and the light mix to create that fall-like look that us Californians are so desperate for. This sweet family was game for whatever I had in mind and not only did they show up, but baby Collin was attentive and constantly smiling for me (he could teach my Emerson a few lessons). Even towards the end of the shoot when most kids are ready for a bottle and a nap he was perfectly content while mom and I talked. I couldn’t get enough of his sweet demeanor and those striking blue eyes! Afternoons that come together like this one are just so special to me. Enjoy!
